There are even some discounts on carbon plate running shoes, with the women's Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 reduced to $149.

Best Prime Day running shoe deals

Brooks Glycerin 20: was $160 now $99 @ Amazon

Brooks Glycerin 20: was $160 now $99 @ Amazon
The pick of the early deals, this sizable saving on the Brooks Glycerin 20 brings it under $100, a fantastic price for one of the best cushioned running shoes you can get. The Brooks Glycerin 21 launched earlier this year but the main update to the new shoe is a little more foam in the midsole. The Glycerin 20 is still very comfortable and a perfect option for new runners in particular, and both the women’s and men’s shoes are reduced on Amazon already in the build-up to Prime Day.

Asics Gel-Kayano 30: was $160 now $99 @ Amazon

Asics Gel-Kayano 30: was $160 now $99 @ Amazon
We recently reviewed the Asic Gel-Kayano 31 and as much as we liked the new shoe, it is very similar to the Gel-Kayano 30, which you can pick up for a lot less on Amazon right now. Both the women’s shoe and the men’s shoe are reduced to under $100 in the sale, which is the cheapest we've ever seen it and a great price for one of the most comfortable stability shoes available from any brand.

Puma Velocity Nitro 2: was $120 now $79 @ Amazon

Puma Velocity Nitro 2: was $120 now $79 @ Amazon
The Puma Velocity Nitro is one of the best value running shoes you can get and one that often crops up in sales, with this discount on the Velocity Nitro 2 knocking $40 off the price of both the women's and men's shoe in a wide range of colors and sizes. The Puma Velocity Nitro 3 is now available, but as someone who has run a lot of miles in both versions I'd opt for the older shoe at a lower price, with the upgrades to the new shoe being quite minimal.

Brooks Ghost 15: was $140 now $99 @ Amazon

Brooks Ghost 15: was $140 now $99 @ Amazon
The Brooks Ghost is one of the most popular running shoes available and the previous model of the shoe is going for under $100 on Amazon ahead of Prime Day. It’s a cushioned daily trainer that’s great for people just starting out in the sport, and while we do prefer the Brooks Ghost 16, which has a more comfortable midsole foam, getting the Brooks Ghost 15 for over $40 less is certainly worth considering.

Saucony Endorphin Pro 3: was $225 now $149 @ Amazon

Saucony Endorphin Pro 3: was $225 now $149 @ Amazon
if you're looking for a racing shoe to set PRs in, then it has to be a carbon plate running shoe these days, and usually they are very expensive. This deal on the excellent Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 makes it more accessible than most carbon super-shoes. It's a comfortable and very fast shoe that's great for races of any distance. The men’s shoe is available for as little as $165 in a size 7, and $180 in a wider range of sizes, while the white women's shoe has dropped below $150.

Asics Gel-Nimbus 25: was $160 now $99 @ Amazon

Asics Gel-Nimbus 25: was $160 now $99 @ Amazon
The Asics Gel-Nimbus 25 is one of the most comfortable cushioned shoes you can get, and offers a very similar ride to the Gel-Nimbus 26, which launched earlier this year, so we’d definitely opt for the older shoe for $60 less if making that choice. That's the deal on the women's shoe, with the discount on the men's Asics Gel-Nimbus 25 is not quite as good, but you can get $30 off.

Adidas (Women's) Ultraboost 22 running shoe: was $190 now $80 @ Amazon

Adidas (Women's) Ultraboost 22 running shoe: was $190 now $80 @ Amazon
A variety of discounts are available on the Ultraboost 22 running shoe at the moment on Amazon, with the saving changing depending on the size and color of the shoe. This $110 discount is pretty remarkable, though it's true to say the shoe is rarely only available at it's very high MSRP.

Adidas Ultraboost Light (men's): was $190 now $109 @ Amazon

Adidas Ultraboost Light (men's): was $190 now $109 @ Amazon The Adidas Ultraboost Light is 30% lighter than the Ultraboost 22, and it's a better running shoe as a result, while still retaining the style of the UB22. The discounts available vary with size and color, but you can get over 40% off the shoe at Amazon right now.

Saucony Ride 16: was $140 now $69 @ Amazon

Saucony Ride 16: was $140 now $69 @ Amazon
The Saucony Ride 16 is a versatile and lightweight daily trainer that uses a firmer foam than most shoes on the market these days. Including its successor the Saucony Ride 17. The Ride 16 is still a very good shoe though and heavily reduced on Amazon right now ahead of Prime Day. Both the women’s and men’s shoes are reduced, with lots of colors and sizes available, though the discount available does vary depending on size and color.

Saucony Triumph 21: was $160 now $85 @ Amazon

Saucony Triumph 21: was $160 now $85 @ Amazon
The Triumph 21 is one of the shoes we were hoping to find in the sales, because the Saucony Triumph 22 recently came out and we’re actually bigger fans of the older shoe. Amazon has a range of discounts available on both the women’s and men’s Triumph 21, with the best deals being available on the black colorway in a range of sizes.

Brooks Hyperion Max: was $170 now $99 @ Amazon

Brooks Hyperion Max: was $170 now $99 @ Amazon
The Brooks Hyperion Max is a lightweight fast training shoe that has a delightfully nimble feel. It’s a versatile trainer for those who like a firmer feel, and a possible racing option if you don’t want to use a plated shoe, but a bit overpriced at MSRP, so it’s great to see such a huge discount available on Amazon ahead of Prime Day. Both the women’s and men’s shoe have been reduced to under $100, with a wide range of sizes and several colors of the shoe available in the sale.

FAQs

When is Amazon Prime Day 2024?

Amazon Prime Day is a two-day event that falls on 16 and 17 July in 2024. New deals for Amazon Prime members will pop up across both days, so it's worth checking in regularly throughout the sale.

Will Hokas go on sale for Prime Day?

There will no doubt be some deals on Hoka running shoes and running gear for Prime Day, but Hoka is not a brand that typically offers major sales on its kit on Amazon.

Brooks and Asics are two brands that are likely to offer big discounts on their shoes for Prime Day, but we'll be keeping an eye out for any Hoka deals and listing them here.
